What is the name of the file you’ve added? That URL provides numerous ways to download the image, so I don’t have enough information to verify whether the path you’ve created is correct.

    Hi Joe

I have tested with different files, like: test-tube-svgrepo-com.svg, downloaded from: https://www.svgrepo.com/svg/91098/test-tube

Is that file currently present in the directory? I checked the URL for where that file should be found, and did not find it there; but I don’t know that it is currently present.

So, it’s possible that the issue you’re experiencing is a caching one; try adding your custom icons, then going to My Calendar > Settings > General and checking “Clear My Calendar fragment cache”, then saving settings.

Because replacing icons doesn’t have any corresponding database behaviors, it doesn’t have any mechanisms for automatically clearing the cache, so it may be that the images are fine, but the site is still reading from the icon cache, instead.

    Unfortunately it did not help.

Is there some way to replace the built in icons instead?

You can always replace the built-in icons, but I wouldn’t recommend it; your changes will be overwritten as soon as you update the plugin.

This could be a filesystem issue; what type of server are you on?
