Unable to Load Images

  • Hi, I’m new to WP and am just starting to try it out. However, I seem to be having problems uploading my images whereby the error that comes out is :

    The uploaded file could not be moved
    to /home/httpd/vhosts/xxxx.com/httpdocs/newsite/wp-content/uploads

    where ‘newsite’ is my subdomain.

    I’ve tried some of the solutions here ie. changing the permissions to the uploads folder, downloading a plug-in to resolve this, trying to create the .htaccess file but none worked. Either it does not work or I’m doing the solutions wrongly.

    Would appreciate it if someone could provide a step by step guide on how to rectify this. I’m using the latest version of 2.6.2.
