    Hi,

I installed my wordpress and modified the DirectoryRoot of apache to the proper folder. WordPress runs fine, but ftp-based plugin install/upgrade or built-in wp upgrades do not work because it can’t locate itself.

What do I need to change to help it out?

  • This issue has come up several times in the WordPress forums. The solution is usually a combination of changing folder and file protection settings and adding some changes to wp-config.php. Look at related problem and another one.

Thanks. It seems that fiddling with group read/write permissions for the wordpress folder did it. Confusing message there, though.
