• Hi-
I’m having an issue where I’m unable to get into my wordpress account.
I have two sites based in wordpress, hosted by bluehost. One of my domains is primary while the other is an add on. (thinking this might be a contributor to my issue)
I can’t even get the admin login panel to load with /wp-admin it will only pop up with /wp-login.php but once I put my login information the screen goes white. If i try to refresh it brings me back to the admin login panel or continues to be blank.
I’ve tried shutting all my plugins off, clearing my cache and cookies and playing with my wp-options.
Nothing seems to be working for me – anyone have an advice?
    Thanks

  • Do you actually have 2 WordPress sites? Or 1 WordPress site and 2 domain names?

Is the other site working OK?

No neither are allowing me to log in

    Try:
    – switching to the default theme by renaming your current theme’s folder inside wp-content/themes and adding “-old” to the end of the folder name using FTP or whatever file management application your host provides.

resetting the plugins folder by FTP or phpMyAdmin.

plugins didn’t seem to matter – but changing to default theme did.
Any clue on to why that is? Something corrupt in my theme files?

It does sound like the theme is the issue. Where did you download it from?

I’ve picked up where my company has left off. Obviously I have made some sort of error somewhere…

My issues seem to have started right when I did an addon with the affiliate website on my Bluehost account. Has anyone every had this issue before? I’ve been trying to scrounge something up online but can’t seem to find any help.

    Sorry? Can you elaborate?

Instead of creating a whole new hosting account on bluehost I just attached the affiliate website on to the current hosting with beauty talk – but it would still have it’s own URL. But I’ve had issues with logging in, and getting the addon site to cooperate with it’s own theme. Maybe I’m just reading into the wrong issues and I should just more closely inspect my files
