unable to log in

  • Hello,

    for some time I can’t log in on 2 of my sites.
    I get the following error:
    CAPTCHA EXPIRED: The CAPTCHA verification for this login attempt has expired. Please try again.
    1 attempt(s) left
    If I try again, I will receive a confirmation e-mail
    after login I encounter the same problem
    if I disable wordfence I can login without any problems
    how can I fix it?

    Hi @martechassistance,

    Our reCAPTCHA and 2FA are primarily designed to be compatible with the default WordPress and WooCommerce logins only. Using custom pages/modals or pages generated by membership plugins etc. may always cause errors and always require verification. Please ensure that’s not the case first.

    The most likely other reasons would be caching issues in the browser or on the server, though the error is generally uncommon. I’d recommend trying in a private/incognito browser window, and although that is more likely to get a lower score from Google, it may help confirm if you don’t receive the same message.
