• I believe I have 2.91 but I am unable to confirm since I cannot log in. It’s been over a year since I updated, but I was recently able to log-in several times over the past week or so. When I tried updating, I received some error message that I can’t remember. Now, every time I try to log-in I receive the following fatal error:

Fatal error: Call to undefined function is_rtl() in /hermes/waloraweb002/b443/moo.reversediabetes2/wp-includes/general-template.php on line 2102

I tried changing the password but that doesn’t help. NEED HELP! Any suggestions are welcome.
    Thx.

  • The update failed or you are now faced with incompatible plugin(s) or theme.

Backup all site files first! Then:

    A) Using an FTP client such as FileZilla, manually upload the full contents of the latest version of WP except the wp-contents folder making sure to include the proper text in wp-config.php.

    B) Rename your plugins folder old-plugins and try to login.

    C) If you still cannot login, upload the latest twenty eleven theme to the themes folder, and rename current theme folder to old-themename and try to login again.

    D) Once logged in investigate the issues related to plugins/themes.

Thanks for your suggestion. I will give that a try ASAP. Relative to step A:
    A) Using an FTP client such as FileZilla, manually upload the full contents of the latest version of WP except the wp-contents folder making sure to include the proper text in wp-config.php.

After using FileZilla, I’m guessing I would delete the wp-contents folder before uploading it to wp? Also, how do I upload it to wp without being able to access admin? Finally, what is the proper text to include in wp-config.php?

Thx for your help and quick response.

Your FTP credentials are not the same as your WP admin user credentials.

You may also have access to these files through cPanel or other host provided file manager.
