I updated 2 plug-ins in my WordPress admin. dashboard (have done in past with no problem) My site now no longer appears and even worse I am now unable to log into the WordPress admin dashboard for that site. Error message I receive is this: Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘[‘ in /home2/domainname/public_html/wp-content/plugins/everest-forms/includes/fields/class-evf-field-date-time.php on line 707

I substituted domain name for what it had for my username. I apologize if am not wording my question correctly or explaining it very well. Since I can’t even log into the WP admin. dashboard (not sure exactly what it is called) I can’t disable the Everest forms since it seems that is where the problem is. Any help would be very, very much appreciated.

  • Since I can’t even log into the WP admin. dashboard (not sure exactly what it is called) I can’t disable the Everest forms since it seems that is where the problem is.

Use FTP or your host’s web-based File Manager to navigate to /home2/domainname/public_html/wp-content/plugins/ and delete the problematic plugin’s folder, everest-forms.

Doing this should disable the plugin, and hopefully, allow you to log in.

Once you’re able to get your site back online, if you want to continue to use this plugin, please post in the plugin’s own support forum, so the developer and user community can help you out.

    See: https://www.ads-software.com/support/plugin/everest-forms/

    Good luck!

@gappiah Thank you so, so much for your help, I really appreciate it. Thank you for the link to the everest support forum, too. I had followed the link on the Everest site, which led me here but couldn’t find their forum. (my first time visiting here so have some more learning to do here) Am going to deal with a new contact form a bit later, I think. Again, I really appreciate your help. Thank you
