Unable to log to wp-admin page – possible problem with Captcha ?

    Hello,
    I have following issue :
    I can’t log to wp-admin page (through wp-login).
    I enter login / password / captcha on wp-login page and then browser shows “connecing …” in tab, wheel turns during minutes and then browser tells me that connection is impossible.

    Why do I suspect a problem with captcha ?

    1) when I enter wrong password (no matter the captach), I got immediate answer that password is incorrect
    2) when I do not enter captcha, I have immediate answer that captach must be entered
    3) when I enter correct or incorrect captcha, I got same result : minutes waiting for “unable to connect” message.

    For information, my web site rusn well when displayed.
    And I have the same result using Firefoxn, Chrome or Safari (running on mac OSX).
    I can access to my site using ftp.

    Additional information :
    I do not know precisely whoch version are installed.
    And as I can’t connect, I can’t get the versions details.

    I made auto-upgrade mid august.
    I did not meet any difficulty since then.

    Our Captcha plugin does not generate “unable to connect” message. That is why, we believe this problem is not related to our plugin. To check this, please delete our Capctha plugin. With your FTP program or through Cpanel, navigate to the following folder wp-content/plugins and delete the plugin folder.

    In case the problem disappears once you have deleted our plugin, please contact us on our support forum (https://support.bestwebsoft.com/), so that we could examine your case thoroughly, as we could not recall this problem locally.
