• Hi

It’s my first time to try wordpress again and after installing 3.2.1 version unsuccessfully which failed I am unable to login into wp-admin.

I am getting the following error message

Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 262144 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 77824 bytes) in /home/whlwpuer/public_html/birthepollmeier.com/wp-admin/admin-header.php on line 118

    What does this mean?

    Thanks

    Birthe

  • When you get an error message related to memory size, first I’d recommend raising the memory limit on your domain. This can be done by modifying the php.ini file. Most hosts allow you to modify the memory limit in the php.ini, however if you can’t find the file or are not sure you may want to contact your host.

Another solution that sometimes works is disabling your plugins, upgrading, and then re-enabling your plugins. Check this page for more information from the codex: https://codex.www.ads-software.com/Login_Trouble
