The top four of these warnings also appear on the site itself. I’m not sure how to disable the plug-in or troubleshoot since I can’t login. Please help!

  • Hi, Just a passing webmaster, im not associated with this plugin but do you have FTP or file management access to your site through your hosting provider.

If so you can change the file name of the “wp-super-cache” folder to “disable-wp-super-cache” and that will disable the plugin for you. You should then be able to login and uninstall it through the normal WP UI.

    Hope that helps ??

Thank you so much! I inherited this site and have only accessed it through WP. I’ll contact the host for ftp creds.

Do you happen to know if the site needs this plug-in? I obv have to disable it to get in but would you recommend I clear the cache or remove it entirely?

    I greatly appreciate your help!

Well, I was able to FTP in and can see that there is no “home” directory, as the error said. https://www.screencast.com/t/CQwrtfbtjd

I wasn’t able to find the plug-in in the respective folder either.

I wish I could say I was one step closer toward a solution but I am at a loss. Please help!

While this supercache error remains unexplained, I was able to FTP in and rename the “wp-super-cache” folder once the host ran a script to reset directory permissions inherited by parent folders. When it rains, it pours!

“If not for bad luck, I’d have none at all!”
