Thanks for the reply but I was logged in once and I’ve already updated so I can’t un-update.

There has to be something else more simple wrong.

Did you try logging in without the “WordPress/”

That’s how I’ve logged into mine for the past 3 years.

So I renamed the plugins folder and was able to get logged in.. however after changing the folder name back to its default I was still able to login, not sure why but the issue has been resolved.

I would say possibly a conflict with a plugin was exactly what caused the issue. Glad to hear that you are able to get logged back into your site.
