• I don’t know why I can’t login to my site dashboard. If you check my webpages you see boxes appearing in place of icons. Once these icons appear again, I will be able to login but on the other hand if those icons change back to boxes as it is now, I can’t login to my dashboard. my website is https://www.bibliofy.com. I have contacted bluehost, my hosting provider, and they convincingly told me that wordpress is responsible for that. So why the problem?

  • Is the login page not loading? Are you getting an error when trying to login (if so, what’s the message)? Does the page simply reload (with no error) when you click login? Anything else you noticed that may be weird on the login page?

The page simply reloads with no error when I click. Sometimes when I click “lost password” an email is sent to reset my password. I don’t reset but simply click login on the page again, it shows my dashboard but, however, I am not logged in because when I try it on different tab on the same browser/different browser, the problem of logging in still persists.

So this is happening across multiple browsers? In other words, I’ve had this happen and the issue was cookies. Have you tried clearing all browser cookies with your domain in it, refresh the page, and then login?

If it then still doesn’t work, there may be a database/htaccess misconfiguration. What changed since this happened? WordPress or plugin update? Are you running WordPress from the root or a sub-directory (and are you masking it to appear as if it were installed in the root)?
