Unable to login using UM (native WP login page works)

  • I’m using the default UM login form. After user logged in (username/password all correct) the page reloaded and still not logged in. Clicking on the login page and back to login screen again.

    WP admin user login gets redirected after accepting username/password to WP native login page. Native WP login page works fine for both admin and non-admin users.

    What am I missing?

    Hi @speaknets,

    What version of the Ultimate member you have on your site?
    It looks like a caching issue, do you have caching plugins or server side caching e.g. Memcached, Varnish cache, CloudFlare etc.?
    Please try excluding Ultimate member pages from the cache.

    You can also try to do a conflict test so we can rule out conflicts with your theme or other plugins and see if this issue goes away.
    Here is the doc on how to do a conflict test.

    I’m running Ultimate member WP plugin 2.0.29.
    My web server is using NIGIX and Varnish cache, login should’ve been excluded but I could be wrong. I do have CloudFlare as well. For testing, I’ve disabled CloudFlare (put in dev. mode), disabled Vanish caching and cleared all caches on the server and cloud. I cleared cache on my browser as well. Issue still persists.

    At this point I’m scratching my head. I am happy to provide Admin credential via PM for you to look at it if that is okay. I love the Ultimate member plugin, and am planning to become a paid customer once this issue is resolved.

    Did you manage to solve your problem ? It appears that I’ve got exactly the same issue…

    The issue was Varnish caching related. I’m running NGINX web server on Ubuntu. Once Varnish is disabled, everything worked fine.

    I also suceeded, but my problem was different, as it was the fault of two google recaptcha plugins entering in conflict: the “Ultimate Members” recaptcha was conflicting with the “forminator” plugin recaptcha…
