    Hi @digitalbanditsmedia ,

    Thanks for reaching out!

I understand that you are unable to change a simple product, to a variable product, as the settings keep reverting back to simple product after clicking to update, is this correct?

I am unable to reproduce this issue on my testing site, which uses the latest version of WordPress, and WooCommerce core, and has the default Storefront theme active, as my product successfully updates from a simple product to a variable product.

This being said, it is possible that this is caused by something conflicting with WooCommerce, and I’d suggest performing a full conflict test to rule this out.

To test, you’ll first want to change the theme on your site to Storefront, then check to see if the issue is still present. If that resolves the issue, you’ll want to get in touch with your theme’s developer and see if they have an update or fix for you.

If changing the theme doesn’t help, you’ll want to deactivate all plugins except for WooCommerce and take a look. If that fixes the problem, re-enable the other plugins one by one (gradually), checking after each, to see where the issue is coming from.

If you don’t want to test on your live site, then create a staging site using a plugin called WP Staging.

Should the issue persist, please can you clarify the following:

    • Are there are any error messages being displayed after saving these changes, if yes, please can you share a screenshot of the error message that appears?
    • Do you recall making any recent updates or changes to your site prior to noticing this issue?
    • Does this happen for all products, or only one/a few?

    Additionally, kindly share the following:

    • System Status Report: navigate to WooCommerce → Status. Select Get system report and then Copy for support.
    • Fatal Error log: Share a copy of any fatal error log found under?WooCommerce?→?Status?→?Logs.
    • Screenshot: Please share a screenshot of both the product description and short description (if any) of any product which is experiencing this issue.

Snipboard.io?can be used for easily sharing screenshots – please follow the instructions on that page, then paste the URL in this thread.

Once you have these, please share them in your response here.

    Cheers!
