Hi everyone, since the problem is on my backend I prefer being contacted by the email of the support team for this issue.

The problem is serious. I’m unable to open and modify categories associated with my /portfolios that are still in the posts but I cannot modify them anymore as they do not appear here, like in teh case of this post: https://prnt.sc/kbuZefUMROp0 or sometimes it appears this: https://prnt.sc/WTcD8d0BEM7M and it’s like I haven’t associated any categories,m but it’s not trues as this post is actually associated to several categories as it is shown in the menu of custom type: https://prnt.sc/kCzI0T8IkJoQ and here: https://prnt.sc/WQAvMjQbVJx8

I think this plugin has something broken

Another super weird thing is that here: https://prnt.sc/MasKNXNZLVoQ in the listing of portfolios the voice categories do not appear. And this is not because I haven’t set it up as you can clearly see: https://prnt.sc/Wzb5Gg2c8JKj There is just no option to sei it up here like it is in posts https://prnt.sc/cUXcCe-4jF0T

Only ideas I have would be something around roles and capabilities with your user. Have you done any customizations around that topic?

Other ideas would be potentially javascript issues somehow causing the lack of display at least in the editor screen.

I’ m editing like admin, so I have all the roles. I don’t think it is a js issue on the backend.

Any help here to help me to seriously fix this?

Even admins can have their capabilities customized, and I have no way of knowing what has been done within your site.

I can look over the settings for the taxonomy settings if you visit CPTUI > Tools > Taxonomy tab and paste the content from the right hand side.

Beyond that, I have to suspect something else is affecting things like other plugins or maybe the theme.

It does not allow me to past the code in this form here.

I have all the capacity and permission as a user.

Outside of needing to enable “Show in quick edit”, I’m not having any issues with the content types, so it has to be something with regards to your install and current configuration.

Hi Michael, this doesn’t help me as how can I know if my current configuration is breaking something. And frankly I don’t think it’s possible. I’m not using weird plugins and I have a very well known theme for being very optimized.

anyhow where should I enable show in quick edit? How?

Regarding quick edit, it’s one of the configurable options when you’re choosing settings for your taxonomies.

Regarding the rest, that may be true, but you’re the one able to change active themes and disable things much more than I can. One common-ish technique for debugging issues is changing to one of the default themes and disabling every other plugin, and then slowly re-activating them until the issue returns. At that point, it’s more known the actual source of issue.

I tested out the settings myself in a local install to show that it’s not the settings or CPTUI themselves causing the issue, something else is going on.

Sorry, I don’t understand where to find this option of quik edit.

Edit the taxonomy/taxonomies in question and look for this:
