    I have no idea how VC works. I avoid it like the plague. However, the shortcode that my plugin provides is completely normal and handled via WordPress’ standard mechanisms. Therefore the issue you’re having is, I believe, a bug in VC and not my plugin. If you have evidence that the problem is on my side then I will happily take a look.

    Note that interaction between my simple plugin, which follows standard WordPress mechanisms and techniques, and another plugin like VC, which changes the way that WordPress works at such a deep and incompatible way, is likely to be an attempt at futility.

    Sorry, re-reading my reply I can see it was needlessly passive-aggressive. It looks like VC is incorrectly marking my shortcode as invalid, so I think VC needs fixing to loosen the restriction on shortcodes to allow it to accept [a-z-listing] as valid.
