Unable to post

  • Hi,

    I have installed my wordpress 3.4.1 on windows server and I have set the file permission to Read Only on each and every php files. After doing this I am unable to post the content. It all becomes blank.

    Please suggest what the problem is.

  • Change all the permissions back to 644 for files and 755 for folders.

    Thanks for the reply but am unable to change the 644 and 755 which is linux specific file permission into my windows server.

    What I have done was setting up the file permission to READ ONLY by right click on all file.

    How to give these 644 and 755 permission on my Windows Server?

    I can’t find any specific documentation on Windows server installs & permissions but I would strongly recommend that you do not alter any permissions from their defaults.

    yup..But finally I have moved my wordpress blog from windows server to Linux. And things are fine. ??
