• A company we hired to set up our non-profit website stuck an ad for their business on our home page without our permission, and I can’t figure out how to get rid of it. The site is https://www.folkup.org.
I believe I need to remove the offending frame from the Twenty Ten/folkup template. I can right-click on the frame, and then click on “This frame.” However, “Remove frame” (or something like that) is not a listed option.
Am I way off track in trying to remove the offending frame by accessing the template? What approach should I be using?
    Thanks.

  • Is that the internet marketing at the bottom? Or the Facebook in the sidebar?

If you mean the FB frame – it’s in a text widget – you should be able go to the Appearance > Widgets screen and remove it there.

[Very crappy thing for them to do :/ IMHO! ]

Agreed, and as far as I know, automobile dealers stopped putting stickers on cars a long time ago. However, I would likely replace just the “Internet Marketing by…” part at the bottom with something like “WordPress Theme by…”

Thanks. It was called a facebook like widget, and I assumed it dealt with our site. Instead, it dealt with theirs. The delete option at the bottom of that widget info did the trick!
