• I am unable to index many of my pages on my site. Google search console has recrawled the site multiple times now with no avail. Ive used multiple SEO plugins to ensure the “index pages” box is checked.

    In the insect element of the home page I have found a line:

     <meta name="robots" content="noindex,nofollow"/>

    I am told that somewhere in the servers File Manager I am meant to delete this but after hours of searching, I cannot find it.

    This has had me stumped for months now, so any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks in advance!

  • You currently have 3 robots specifications in the source code:

    • once from Rank Math
    • once from All in One SEO
    • once what you are looking for

    I would recommend you to do without one of the first two. The two plugins overlap functionally in many places, so it is unfavorable to run both at the same time.

    As for your problem: striking for me is that this code is in the middle between 2 lines of the plugin https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/easy-digital-downloads/. I took a look at the plugin: yes, it generates this output when (quote)

    Add no-index and no-follow to EDD checkout and purchase confirmation pages

    So I would recommend you to contact their support forum to clarify this: https://www.ads-software.com/support/plugin/easy-digital-downloads/
