• Hi,

I’ve recently started looking after this website and have noticed there is a black space for a video on the home page of the site. The video/black space needs to be removed however I cannot figure out how to do this in the page editing. Part of the page has been designed with Elementor and the other half has been done as normal. I can’t find anywhere in either the normal field groups or Elementor that the video/embed link lives. Any help would be appreciated.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • Please follow this troubleshooting method that I made: (It’s quite general, but it will tell us something.)

Please make sure that all of your Plug-ins and Theme are updated.
Sometimes it isn’t obvious that there is a plugin update available. Go to WordPress Dashboard > Updates and click the Check Again button to be sure.
Please also regenerate the CSS via Elementor > Tools > Regenerate CSS on your WordPress Dashboard,
then make sure that you are clear:
your WordPress cache (your WordPress plugin if you have one), your server cache (if
you have one. In this case, you can contact your hosting provider).
Please deactivate all your plugins besides Elementor and see if it helps. If it solves the issue, reactivate them one by one to find the culprit. If it didn’t help, switch your theme (temporarily) and see if it makes any difference.

Hello – none of this worked I’m sorry.

Do you have any other suggestions?

    Hi.,

The video is a custom code, which means that you’re not using any Elementor markup.

Thank you, in that case – do you know how I can remove it? It looks like it was created in a field group but it no longer lives there – the wrapper has stayed though.

    Thanks,

I have just discovered that it’s an error on any page that’s selected as the ‘home page’. Does this help figure out how to fix it?

    Thanks,
    Rach

    Hi,

If the website was designed by someone else using both wp and elementor, I suggest trying to contact them, it does not seem like the empty space is coming from elementor, but from either the theme or the full code in the dashboard.

You can try using the margin for the sections around that space to close the gap.
