Unable to reply to comment from post page

    Hi,
    I tried to reply to the comments left on my posts since Sunday today and noticed that I can’t reply from the post page self.
    I get this error message “ERROR: please fill the required fields (name, email).”.
    Yet when replying I am identified as the admin (in the comment zone and on the site).

    I can still reply to comments through my dashboard.

    It seems to coincide with the day I updated jetpack to its latest version 8.3 .

    I have checked all the options in the jetpack settings before sending this message and everything seems as it should be.

    I have already cleaned up my cookies ….

    Can you help me please? Is it a known problem with this version of the plugin?

    Does the problem continue if you deactivate the Jetpack plugin?

    I haven’t deactivated yet because I think Jetpack manages the comments … so wouldn’t it be moot if I deactivate the plugin?

    Jetpack doesn’t manage the comments, we just provide an alternative UI for the comments. WordPress itself still manages the comments.

    Sorry to resurrect this, but I am having exactly the same issue. I can comment from my dashboard, but not on the post itself. I get exactly the same error. The problem only happens when logged in. Other users on my site are experiencing the same issue.

    The problem does not occur when I disable jetpack.

    This issue also began with 8.3. The website is twincitiesgeek.com.

    Any ideas?

    If it’s helpful at all, I have tried disabling the following plugins, but leaving Jetpack active, which did not resolve the issue

    LiteSpeed Cache
    iThemes Security
    Jetpack reCaptcha
    Site Kit by Google (which was breaking Jetpack in a different way anyway.)

    Additionally if it is helpful, I am using cloudflare.
