Unable to restrict download to Members Only

  • We have a form that only members of a certain membership group should have access to download. The form is free. We have gotten the “download now” button to show however it is not restricting it to members only, anyone can download.

    We tried using all possibly combinations of settings both in “download now” settings, “Woocommerce Memberships” settings as well as in the downloadable product itself setting however the file either goes back to “Add to Cart” or switches to “Download Now” but is available to everyone.

    Please help, how can we restrict this one free file to be only downloaded by specific member category.

    It’s based on products, and if a product is restricted to a certain membership (purchase restriction) then only those memberships can see the product, and download.

    I’m not sure what you mean by a form being restricted.

    You have to make sure the first option is selected in the membership settings page of my plugin settings, which is the default. “include membership restricted products”
