Unable to retrieve the custom field value

  • Hi there,

    I have a custom text field created in the registration form and was able to retrieve the value by using ‘get_user_meta’ in my theme in the past.

    However, I just noticed that the custom text value is no longer saved in ‘wp_usermeta’ table.

    I tried ‘um_fetch_user’ and ‘um_user’ but still unable to get the value.

    Are there any new structural changes to the plugin recently?

    Have done more testing and seems this was caused by the ‘Can user edit this field?’ setting.

    It won’t save the value to database if the ‘Can user edit this field?’ field is set to ‘No’.

    Not sure if this is a bug??
