Unable to rewrite Mod Rules?

  • Today I noticed my caching plugin was disabled for some reason (like caching turned off, the plugin was active) When I enabled and went through to change it from simple to expert and saved, then attempted to rewrite the mod files I received this error:

    “The plugin could not update /home/succule1/shop.succulentscribbles.com/.htaccess file: Page test failed as pages did not match with new .htaccess rules.
    Enable debug log on Debugging page for further details and try again.”

    I’ve done the debugging log and tried to update again, but not sure what to do, any suggestions?

  • Unfortunately you’ll have to dig into the configuration of your site and make sure the .htaccess file is writeable by the webserver. If this is too complex you should use “easy” caching. It’s practically as fast and much easier to get working.
