unable to save configuration settings

Trying to configure the plugin to activate different modules – default has Google+/Documentation/TinyMCE.
Changing any of these options and clicking the ‘save changes’ button results in the page reloading with the ‘settings saved’ banner present, but the changes are not reflected in the configuration – they are not actually saving.
Set WP_Debug to true – didn’t get any errors, still doesn’t save configuration.
