• Since I upgrade my site to WP 6.1.1 I can’t save any menu. Each time I got a 404 error with a redirection to /wp-admin/nav-menus.php

I was previously on WP 5.9.x with the classical menu builder & the classical editor activated.

The server run with PHP 7.4.33

How could I solve this issue ?

    Thanks.

I recommend asking at your theme’s support page so its developers and support community can help you with this.

Ok, I read the theme book.
But my question and my issue is related to the admin menu builder (Admin/apparence/menu).
So Could you give some inputs to undertstand the reason why in release 5.9 the menu was ok and why now is 6.1.1 I can’t save the same menu.

    Thanks.

By using the Admin/personalize/menus way to setup a new menu it’s ok.

So I think that Admin/apparence/menu is buggy.

I am having the same issue, i cannot edit now current menus, or creating a new one. How can we solve it?

I have experienced exactly this issue: Try to save WP menu and you get a 404 error. The ‘customize’ facility works on the menu but does not ahve the features I needed to set conditional menu display.

I tried disabling all plugins, changing theme etc – all to no avail.

In the end I solved this by temporarily suspending Mod_Sec Security on the domain on my VPS server. This worked first time – perfectly. I then reenabled Mod_Sec.

If you have shared hosting you will probably need to ask your hosting provider to assist you although some CPanels do have the option.

Always ALWAYS re-enable security once done. I have no idea why this problem arises so just regard this as a ‘way around it’ for now.

Hope that helps someone because this is a really irritating, time-consuming , niggly issue.
