    Hi,

After the upgrade to WP 3.9 I can only save my work in a page in the HTML mode, when I try to save in the Wysiwyg mode the message appears if I want to stay on the page or want to leave it: This page is asking you to confirm that you want to leave – data you have entered may not be saved.

It seems like a bug to me but I don’t find any reports, am I the only one with this problem? I have CKEditor 4.0 installed.

  • Yes, I get the same message. Leaving the page is OK, however — it did save my changes.

    Same problem here.

me too and the problem was due to a conflict with CHEditor. Disabling the plugin sorts it out.

Hi, same here. I can only save/publish in HTML mode.

Same here. I’m trying to change ckeditor.js file under ckeditor folder but there’s no clue to find that. I’m stuck in “j” function and setValue or setHtml function. When these functions appears it prompt the message. When I cut this part of code, the prompt disappeard but the editor didn’t save the content. Maybe someone will get further with this suggestions.

The compatibility with WordPress 4.0 has been fixed in CKEditor for WordPress 4.4.4.

Please report back if you still have any issues.

Which version of WordPress are you using now?
Did you clear the cache (Ctrl+Shift+Del)?

I use WP 4.0 and the newest version of CKEditor with empty browser cache (no server caching)

    Hi Wiktor.

Just tried exactly what you said, even took your git version as well but we are unfortunately still getting the same error message. Cache has been cleared and also used incognito mode to check as well.

We use Google Chrome (latest release) as default but have tried it on other browsers and have the same issue as above unfortunately.

If you require any more info let me know.

Any advice would be most appreciated.

    Thanks!
