Unable to select Featured Image from NextGEN gallery

    Hi – I have read numerous posts about how featured NGG images are not displaying properly in themes – but this is not my issue.

    Using WP 3.5.1 and NGG 1.9.10 I cannot even set a featured image from my existing NextGEN galleries: Whenever I click on “Set featured image” from within editing a post or a page, the only choices I have are to select an image from my WP media library or to upload a new image. There is no NGG option to select on that page – any idea what might cause this?
