    Note: I am using ‘Other SMTP’ option with smtp.gmail.com as SMTP host, SSL for encryption and my gmail credentials. I even got the ‘allow insecure apps’ alert from google and allowed the same. Still test email is not going through.

    Please note that if you’re using two-factor authentication for your account, you’ll need to use App Password instead. If you’re not, you’ll need to enable low secure apps to login. If that didn’t help, try resetting your account password.
