Unable to set featured image in Twenty Seventeen posts

    Hi,

    I can’t seem to find the option to set featured images for individual pages (in order to create the parallax-effect) in the Twenty Seventeen theme. I notice in all tutorials I have found that this option is located under Pages > edit > Perma links > set featured image, but I can’t find it in mine. Is it a plugin I’m missing?

    I downloaded and installed a Danish version of this theme only a couple of weeks ago. This is my first time building a website. I apologize for my inexperience.

    Hi, fiskaali, you should be able to select a featured image through the options when editing a page.

    Try using the Health Check plugin and temporarily disable all active plugins to see if that fixes the issue.

    Thank you for your reply. I installed and activitated the Health Check and Troubleshooting plugin. For a very brief moment, “set featured image” appeared when I wanted to edit one page, but disappeared again when entering a different page to edit there. When I went back, it once again disappeared.
    By constantly deactivating/activating plugins, the option to set a featured image becomes available, but at random. I can click back and forth from editing individual pages to the dashboard, and will at different times be presented with the option to set an image.

    To some extent, you have resolved my problem (thank you very much!!), but I wonder why the option does not show at all times?

    Hi, Anne, are you able to please provide a list of plugins that you use on your site? I’m curious to see if one of them is causing the issue.

    I can roll the last one back to a previous veresion (v2.5.0)
