Unable to set SiteIcon

  • Hello, I’ve started using GeneratePress to create my website and I’m trying to set a SiteIcon. I’ve uploaded an SVG image (512 px x 512 px) and when I press on the “Select” button while on the “Media Library” page, the button changes color to grey but nothing happens.

    I took a look at the network calls being and I see that there’s a POST being triggered to admin-ajax.php when I click on the Select Button and the response says “Image could not be processed”.

    Hi there,

    The Site Icon and Media Library are both WP core features so I don’t believe this is a theme related issue.

    Can you disable all plugins and custom functions to test first?

    If not then you might need to check with WordPress support or your hosting support.
