Unable to show excerpt on member page

  • I am going slightly bonkers after hours and hours of fiddling. I am trying to set up my site in such a way that only I, as admin, am able to post in a member’s profile. This works perfectly well through the “posts” section on the back-end, by selecting the member in question. I can add a featured image up, which displays the cover of the book, all good. The issues is that I can’t, for the life of me, get the plug-in or WP to display the excerpt. I’ve added a “read more” tag, I’ve filled in both the “excerpt” field and the “custom field” -> “post_excerpt”, but I can’t get it to come up on my member page. Is this just a pro feature I haven’t seen in the documentation? Am I doing something wrong? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

    Hi @mrtextdesign,

    Can you please clarify, do you want to have an excerpt on the User page and then show all info after the “Read more” is clicked?
    I’m afraid It’s not possible in the current version and would require some custom coding.
    If you need this customization I suggest hiring a developer for assistance.
