    Hey justpurple!

Sure, I’d be happy to help. It sounds like it’s related to the way your ‘widescreen’ theme is built and it may not be adding the content on your page like the default theme does. Do you have the [custom-facebook-feed] shortcode directly in the ‘Blog’ page in WordPress, or is it in a post or widget?

Thanks. Yes it is directly on a page called blog.

In that case it sounds like your widscreen theme may be using a specific page template for your blog page which doesn’t include the WordPress ‘the_content()’ function, and so isn’t including the content from your actual blog page. It sounds like instead it’s just displaying your blog posts, and not the actual content from the ‘Blog’ page, so the shortcode isn’t being included. Could you try switching the page template for your blog page to see whether there’s a different template that might display the actual page content?

    hi
i could not get it to work on a ‘page’ so I made a ‘post’ put the code in and it works. so i have one post showing on the blog page and it is calling the fb posts and working well.

I tried your suggestion above but no other page template worked.

Thanks so much for you support.
