Unable to update

WordPress error. I have no idea why they have so many problems with their repo. I released a patch today and that seems to have jostled the links back into functionality.

Just found the following: (maybe/probably it was side effects of these changes)

I don’t think those issues are relevant… my SVN commits were successful. I copy my commit numbers into the bugs I am working on as I close them, and a read-only repo shouldn’t have hindered downloading packages (even during DNS changes), so I think this had something to do with the WP packaging script or their poorly conceived way of relying on the trunk’s readme.txt file to dictate what the active branch is… so much of how WP does this strikes me as a good example of how NOT to build something like this.
