Unable to update home page / Home page has no edit buttons

  • Hi Everyone
    I am unable to update my home page (And this is ONLY happening on the home page).

    There are no links to EDIT the page when I’m directly on the URL of the home page. That being there is no upper sticky header editor (Customise – New – Edit Page etc) and there are no EDIT links directly on the page either.

    If I goto https://mywebsite.co.uk/wp-admin/

    There is a link under NEXT STEPS to “Edit your front page”
    If I do edit from here is STILL doesnt update on the home page.

    I suspect these two problems are related.

    Can anyone offer any help please?
