    Hi,

Since 2.7, I’m finding myself unable to upgrade plugins using the built-in feature. After giving my login info and password to the server, it just says this:

“Failed to connect to FTP Server mudlet.org:21” or “Failed to connect to FTP Server localst:21” if I give it that.

    Isn’t port 21 a telnet port anyway?

I just started to get this error after my Hosts Server HD crashed. now It gives me the same problem now. This is definitely a Host issue.

    Hi,

Please reset the password for your FTP account and then have a check with disabling the firewall into your system…

    Thanks,

    Shane G.

How do I change the password for my FTP account? (I’m new and have no idea what I’m doing.)

Ignore that last post for now.

Try starting a new topic, provide your WordPress version number (bottom right of the Admin area footer) and describe your problem. If anything changed recently (eg you upgraded WP or installed a new plugin etc), that info would also be helpful.
