• So I decided to upgrade from 5.1 to 5.2. However, once I did this I noticed that the loading in admin took forever. Then I noticed that it never upgraded to 5.2, but to 5.1.1.

I can no longer post content, as it loads a blank page now. My caching also no longer works. Trying to downgrade to 5.1, keeps me stuck at 5.1.1, even if it says it downgraded successfully. This stinks. My site was fine before this.

And yes, I disabled all my plugins, the same stuff happens. Php version is 7.0.31

Try downloading WordPress again, access your server via SFTP or FTP, or a file manager in your hosting account’s control panel (consult your hosting provider’s documentation for specifics on these), and delete then replace your copies of everything on the server except the wp-config.php file and the /wp-content/ directory with fresh copies from the download. This will effectively replace all of your core files without damaging your content and settings.

Some uploaders tend to be unreliable when overwriting files, so don’t forget to delete the original files before replacing them.

I did this and the site still says it’s on 5.1. I simply can’t upgrade to 5.2.
