Unable to Upgrade WordPress

    When I try to upgrade I get the message:

    PHP Warning: An unexpected error occurred. Something may be wrong with www.ads-software.com or this server’s configuration. If you continue to have problems, please try the support forums. (WordPress could not establish a secure connection to www.ads-software.com. Please contact your server administrator.) in D:\Domains\strivney-english\strivney-english.com\wwwroot\a\wp-admin\includes\plugin-install.php on line 77

    I tried overwriting the files manually via FTP but I still have the same message telling me to upgrade.

    My server doesn’t seem to have a suggestion. Can somebody help?

    So I’m completely stuck. My server says the problem is with WordPress. They tried to fix a faulty file but that didn’t help.

    I am unable to update plugins too.

    Please, please, can somebody suggest something?
