Unable to upload images or make changes from specific machine

  • I’ve found I’m unable to upload images: I can select a picture and hit upload, but it never gets beyond 2% and then gives ‘The site can’t be reached -connection reset’. Certain other actions like saving widget settings also just ‘hangs’ indefinitely.

    I’ve been able to upload just fine previously, and if I try with another computer it also works. So my question is why can I no longer do so – I’m assuming some sort of connection issue.

    – I don’t have a problem accessing other websites
    – I’ve restarted the machine
    – Cleared cache, flushed DNS. Tried in Incognito mode.
    – Tried both Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge
    – I’m on Windows 10, the other PC is Windows 8

    Any ideas of things I can otherwise reset?

  • Hello,nmmfood, & welcome to the WordPress support forum. Could you please tell us who your hosting provider is? I’m beginning to possibly see a pattern emerging here, & I’d like to see if this is true in your case as well. Thanks.

    Check your firewall. Whitelist your site / site’s IP if necessary.
