Unable to use media gallery
-
Hi,
I’m using “Editorial Assistant by Zemanta” wordpress plugin but I’m facing a problem since yesterday. I’m not able to use media gallery from the widget box (content recommendation), it says “register to use Gallery” and I’ve already registered.
Screenshot of the widget box: https://snag.gy/6j6lH.jpgand when I click on “sign in” button, all posts page gets poped up.
Thanks

Hey,
thanks for reaching out – I’ll gladly help! Would you be so kind and re-install the plugin?
Sorry for the inconvenience and please let me know how it goes,
PetraI also am having this issue with exact issue as above
Hey,
I have already asked Nilesh for some additional information via email, but I would like to ask you the same (assuming you have already tried to re-install the plugin?):
1.) what is your plugin version?
2.) your WP version?
3.) which browser are you using?
4.) list of your other plugins
5.) and if you could go to one of your old posts and try to edit it…wait for the widget to load and then press F12, if using Chrome, or Ctrl+Shift+K, if using Firefox to start the “Console”. Then go to console tab and copy/paste the text that shows up. After that try to sign in, and when you get that all posts page, please repeat the process and copy/paste the text.Really appreciate any additional info!
Looking forward to your reply and sorry for the inconvenience,
PetraI’m having this same issue. I tried disabling all other plugins, reinstalling the plugin and also copying and pasting from the console as directed above and didn’t have any success.
I also tried with the browser plugin and the WordPress plugin independently(uninstalling the one while I tried the other) as well as two different browsers and machines to try to troubleshoot.
One thing I did notice is that, on two other blogs of mine where the plugin is working, the “Sign In” button takes me to https://prefs.zemanta.com/UNIQUE CODE/?platform=wordpress39 while the same button on the site that isn’t working links to https://MY DOMAIN/wp-admin/post.php?platform=wordpress39
My plugin version is Version 1.2.5
My WP version is WordPress 3.9.1
Tried it in the most recent versions of Chrome and Firefox on two different machines.
Issues persists even with all other plugins disabled.Hope this helps you to get this fixed for everyone!
Hey,
thanks for reaching out – would you be so kind and try to sign in from the “Settings”-> “Zemanta”-> “Sign In” button? Does it work? If not, to what link does is take you?
Looking forward to your reply and really sorry for the inconvenience,
PetraThat takes me to my Zemanta account where I have been logged in this whole time through all this testing. That’s why it works on my other accounts as I mentioned.
That’s the true problem here. I am actually already signed in so the button going to the wrong link is only a part of the problem… it’s not recognizing the cookies that show I’m already in my account either way.
Hi, PetraP
I am having the same problem here. The link seems to be the problem,, My situation is identical to hdepiano
One thing I did notice is that, on two other blogs of mine where the plugin is working, the “Sign In” button takes me to https://prefs.zemanta.com/UNIQUE CODE/?platform=wordpress39 while the same button on the site that isn’t working links to https://MY DOMAIN/wp-admin/post.php?platform=wordpress39
except in my case the sign in button also takes me back to my lists of posts.
And as with hdepiano, all of my other sites work fine. on this perticular site I have removed the plugin added it back in, have also removed my theme, and went back to the original, turned off other plugins etc.. can not seem to see why it is only happening on this one site.
Is there an override, for that link, exg. if I could find the unique code and build the url my self might that log me in?
Thanks,Hey @hdepiano and @goldthumb,
is it possible to send us (support[at]zemanta[dot]com) your username and api key? To find out the api key, just go to “Settings”-> “Zemanta” and the key should be there (“Your API key (in case you need to contact support)”).
Really sorry for the inconvenience, take care and have a nice day,
PetraI’m having this same problem.
Mine is working now but I don’t have a good answer for anyone still experiencing this problem. After emailing PetraP my API code, she activated something that made the sign-in link work correct finally… but that still didn’t allow me to use the gallery. I clicked the sign-in button, logged in and… nothing changed after save and refresh.
Long story short, after days of trying random things (logging in and out of Zemanta, clearing my cache, uninstalling and reinstalling the plugin, etc) I finally gave up on it. Hours after I’d last tried anything, the gallery was still grayed out with the error message as I was writing the post and then, suddenly, it wasn’t. It just started working again and I’ll be darned if I can tell you why.
I just wanted to update this for anyone who was still having this issue though I wish I could tell you how to fix it. Having someone from Zemanta activate it for you does seem to be part of the solution but I don’t know what of the billion things I tried after that actually made it work again.
Yes, do let us know if this is still an issue for you either via this topic here or send us an email at: support[at]zemanta[dot]com
Sorry for any inconveniences in the meantime & we’re looking forward to your reply!
Best,
SilvoHas this problem been solved elsewhere? We have a large number of sites on which Zemanta is no longer working (not all! there are a couple that still let us use the gallery, etc.) I do not remember ever registering for this and no username/password I would use are working.
HELP!
I’ve tried registering a new username/password, cleared my browser cache, disabled WP Super Cache, cleared my browser cache (again). Still no Zemanta. ??
help?
