Unable to use on Variable Products

  • I have read many of the posts here but have been unable to find a solution.

    When I set a Variable Product to Smart Grouped, I am unable to use the main product as the base and the added group products as extra’s.

    If I cannot use the plugin in this manner, I will need to create new/duplicate products so that I can add the original as part of the grouped range. I have 236 products.

    Does this make sense?

    If I am mistaken about how to add this to an already active Variable product, please let me know soonest.
