The search functionality within the standard WP visual editor is not working since the 4.7.4 WordPress update.
I’m not using another WYSIWYG editor and I do not believe I have any other plugins that would cause issues with this functionality.
It was working perfectly fine for me before the 4.7.4 update

  • I’m pretty positive that it’s not the fault of the version 4.7.4 of WordPress nor of version 1.4.3 of the plugin. I have both of them and it’s working perfectly. It must be some other plugin interfering here.

Thanks guys. Email is on its way
Just with regards to 1, 2 and 3:
    1. Plugin version: 1.4.3
    2. WordPress version: 4.7.4
    3. PHP version: 7.1.3

Only thing that has changed since the issue started is the WP version, hence why I assumed it was that!

Let me know if you need any other info?

Ah, there we have the difference. I’m running PHP version 5.6.30. Perhaps that’s what matters.

I don’t know why it would suddenly have stopped working though? I’ve been on PHP 7.1.3 since its release and have been using the Link Builder during that time (I’ve been using the link builder for over 3 months on PHP 7 with no issues).

I’m hoping to not have to downgrade my PHP version to 5 – especially considering WordPress’ recommended PHP version https://www.ads-software.com/about/requirements/

Hopefully the guys over at Amazon will be able to provide some insight ??
