Unable to verify my site with google plus. Tried everything.

  • Hi All,

    I have created a google plus page for my site and tried to verify, but doesn’t work.

    I have tried uploading the XML file to the site, adding the a href code to header.php, footer.php, index.php and sidebar.php.
    Also tried a plugin for verification, but nothing has worked.

    Is there some other way to do this, or am I doing something wrong?

    Can someone help with this?

    Hi Maruti, sorry for the delay, I had been out of town.

    So, I’ve created a google plus page for my website.

    On the google plus page there’s an option to link your website.

    After doing that it asks me to add a few lines of code to the site’s homepage to mark it as verified.

    I’ve done this and tried other methods as well, but I’m unable to get it verified.

    This is something I need to look at myself and then get back to you, but at the same time I am not sure if this is an issue with the theme.

    You can try and switch to a different theme and look if it works? and if it doesn’t you may want to ask the question in a different thread in different forum in wp.org to get quick answers.
