Unable to verify users

    Members are registering in Discussion Board. I am logging in as the admin to verify them, and when I press the “Pending” button (or the > on the right), the screen refreshes; I’m not offered the opportunity to verify the user and assign a role.

    Also, one account (my own) that I set as Subscriber, I cannot change to Author.

    Are you able to click “Edit” on the pending user and then assign a role on the edit page?

    This interface is a WordPress UI and not controlled by our plugin. Do you have any user management plugins installed or are you using standard WordPress user management?

    I may have resolved the issue by using a different browser. I have five different browsers installed, and either switching browsers or clearing the cache seems to have solved the problem.

    I never had this issue before I installed WP Discussion Forums, but I’ve also never run WordPress 5.9 (which came out about the same time), which changed the management interface.

    Thank you for the response. I focused on WP Discussion Forum as the “new” element, but the root cause may be something else.
