Unable to view newly uploaded images

    I have recently noticed that I am unable to view/use newly uploaded images.

    This image below shows my gallery where it supposedly uploaded my ballerina image, it does show the correct file size but there is no preview and the image cannot be viewed. This happens only for newly uploaded images.

    As you can see it also shows that ti has created the /2020/04/ folder with the ballerina5.jpg file inside but if I look into my /var/www/html/wp-content/uploads/2020 folder there is no such 04 subfolder nor the image itself.

    The folder has the correct apache ownership and 755 permissions set recursively. Debutg mode is enabled in wordpress but I don’t see anything related to this issue nor the apache logs show any trace of error.

    I have also tried disabling all plugins and changed the theme to wordpress’s default twenty theme – nothing changed.

    I’m using wordpress 5.4 installed on a centos 7 with latest updates, using PHP 7.3.16 and mysql Ver 15.1 Distrib 5.5.64-MariaDB, for Linux (x86_64) using readline 5.1

    Are you using Edge, iOS Safari?

    Ok, I’ve read and tried all the suggestions there including disabling cloudflare, plugins while using the twenty nineteen theme.

    What I find unusual is this line:

    uploads_size: 0.00 B (0 bytes)

    I’m pretty sure this has something to do with my issue.

    It was the Settings > Media > Store uploads in this folder value being set to an incorrect path the culprit for this issue. Now that I’ve set that correctly, I can upload pictures.
