I just updated wordpress to 4.1. I had a bit of trouble with that, as all the files did not want to properly load into file manager. I finally corrected everything, and the files were where they should be, and my website was back up working properly… so I thought. The website is able to be viewed and all links work correctly, the problem is with the back end.
I tried to view a post, and noticed that the post was blank, same with media, no photos shown. I am able to upload them, I just can’t view them after the upload is finished. I am also unable to view the code for the theme. I also tried to upload a new theme (to switch themes to see if it was the result of a faulty theme) but blank again, nothing to view.
I am on the administrative account, so I have full access to all of this. I have spent hours researching, and trying to figure out what to do. I am not very techy, I do my best, and I think I am slowly learning, but a lot of it still confuses me.
I really hope that some one is able to help and I am able to get everything working properly!
    Thank you
    Andrea

Delete the wp-admin and wp-includes folders. DO NOT touch the wp-content folder. From a fresh copy of WP extract the wp-admin and wp-includes folders and upload them to the server.

You can do this with ftp or using the file manager provided by your host.

I did that, and unfortunately, it did not help ??
Thank you though for your suggestion.

Have you tried a different browser?

    Have you tried:
-deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).
-switching to the default theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

Also being unable to view something would be a javascript error.

*Sigh* Of all things, it was the browser! Such a simple fix. I can’t believe I didn’t think of that… I have a mac and should have definitely known better. (Safari doesn’t always play well with others.) Every thing now works the way it should, and I can view things. Yay!! XD
Thank you so much for your help! I have been working on this for about 3 hours, and I can finally get something else done!
