I had Postie up and running beautifully when I shut down for the day yesterday, but overnight, no emails were posted and I log a number of errors:

I was initially getting an “unable to write data to POP3” error yesterday, but that was resolved by choosing the POP3SSL protocol. Unfortunately that didn’t last, and I’m getting the same error with the SSL protocol enabled.

I’ve been working with my host on this today, but so far they can’t see a reason on their end why writing to the POP3 server would fail. Would greatly appreciate any suggestions or guidance. Thanks!

Please install the Support AddOn and run a test so I can see more details.

Thanks Wayne – went through the support plugin process as outlined. Everything seems to go as expected, but nothing is showing up in my Media Library yet. Does this take a while? It’s been about 45 minutes so far since the initial test.

I initially ran a single test, but when nothing was showing up I upped it to three and sent three more.

Emails are being sent to the address pretty regularly as it is, as alerts are actively being forwarded to the postie email address, but I figured something should show up.

    Thanks again!

The log files should show up immediately. If they aren’t then something is wrong. Please verify that the number of emails to check is non-zero and the checkbox is ticked.

If you’re still not getting log files you will need to work with your hosting company to get the PHP error logs. Feel free to send those to [email protected].
