Unable to write new post/page after update to 2.5.1

    Today I upgraded one of my blogs from (I think it was) 2.3.3 to 2.5.1. And after this upgrade I’m not able to write any new post or page.
    I do can edit old posts/pages and other functions like the nextgen gallery work perfectly. Its just the new post/page part.

    I get this message:
    Fatal error: Maximum execution time of 60 seconds exceeded in /home/httpd/vhosts/de-abacus.nl/httpdocs/wp-includes/plugin.php on line 274

    If I check this actual file I can’t find anything. Its the latest plugin.php file that came with the WordPress-2.5.1.zip

    What is happening here?
