• I was excited about this plugin, but the plugin was removed from the repository. Then I get notice of an update available. This plugin author released an update (without review apparently) that throws a FATAL ERROR. Killing websites.

As of this post, there is no further update. Poor implimentation.

I am really sorry for the inconvenience caused by my silly mistake.

When deploying the plugin the freemius SDK removed the premium plugin file but the file reference was still there that causing this major issue.

It was my fault not to test it immediately after deployment.

I have released the updated plugin version 4.8 containing the fix.

I apologize to you for all the trouble that you faced.

    I’m putting my edit here.

I am told by the site:
Error: You do not have permission to edit that topic.

    Though the page says:
This is your review of Ivory Search – WordPress Search Plugin, you can edit your review at any time.

    Lovely WordPress forums.

I wanted to change to a three star. But I’m not allowed to edit my review. Here is what I had to say:

    ** Edit **
Changed review to three stars from on star due to update that fixed the fatal error. Three stars because there should have been testing prior to releasing an update on www.ads-software.com.

I’m not really happy that the WordPress review team, who removed the plugin to begin with didn’t review it before it was allowed back into the repository. I guess they don’t actually check to see if a plugin works.

Thank you for your reply and for editing the review.

Sure, henceforward I will be extra careful to test plugin release.

Other plugin users could edit their reviews as below.

You might have faced a temporary issue editing the review so if possible could you please try it once again?

Still doesn’t work. Still giving me: Error: You do not have permission to edit that topic.

Maybe it is the fact that I am moderated for virtually everything I write. It’s been that way for years.

Sorry to hear that and thank you for your support.
