Unattached media files in media library

    In my media library, I am seeing a lot of images which are showing as unattached. Only those images which are in bbpress topics are showing as attached.
    Images which I have added to posts are not showing as attached.
    Is there any way to know if an image has been used in posts?
    I want to remove all the unnecessary images which are not attached to any post or bbpress forum topics.
